Job Description:
The Communications & Events Coordinator is responsible for working towards Colorado Nonprofit Association’s vision of an effective, vibrant and innovative nonprofit community by executing our digital communications strategy and assisting with all major events.

Reports to: Major Events Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Areas of Responsibility
Grow engagement in the organization’s social media presence, including managing content creation and curation.
In collaboration with our staff, manage the creation and distribution of our biweekly eNews.
Work closely with our public relations consultants to design and implement our online communications strategy.
Assist the major events manager in coordinating event speakers, advertisers, exhibitors, sponsors and vendors and arranging all logistics (venues, catering, contracts, speakers, etc.).
Create event registration websites, process registrations, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records.
Promote participation in events through compelling online marketing tactics, including email marketing and website content.
Ensure prompt and effective communication with attendees and speakers.
Represent the Association with venue staff, partners and participants during events and in the community.
Requirements/Qualifications
Strong experience in Microsoft Suite, email marketing strategies and social media required
Experience assisting with event planning and logistics
Experience with CRM databases and event registration systems preferred
Passion for the work of the nonprofit sector and a commitment to building its influence, knowledge and network.
Demonstrated excellence in organizational and communication skills
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
Valid Colorado driver’s license required
Work Environment:
Team-oriented environment in an office space shared with other nonprofit capacity-building organizations
Some travel across Colorado required
Ability to work extended hours on conference days. Some early, late and weekend hours necessary
Physical Activity:
Mobility in a variety of office, conference, and event settings required
Ability to lift 25 pounds required
Compensation/Benefits
In the range of $40,000 depending on experience with full benefits including health and dental coverage, retirement benefits and annual paid leave.
